In the prominent ear, the angle of the ear with the skull is more than normal, which creates this image. For this reason, the ear appears prominent. In addition to the wide angle, this problem may also be accompanied by the absence of folds in the inner part of the ear.

It is performed under general anesthesia in children and local anesthesia in adults in a hospital environment. The operation takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. The incision is made behind the ear. Postoperative edema and swelling resolve within 2-3 weeks. It takes 2 months for the ear to take its final shape.
